Alison de Vere (Weschke), was an independent British animator best known for her capabilities as a designer. After working for the British animation studio Halas and Batchelor for five years during the early '50s she was promoted to designer. Soon afterward, she began free-lancing for TV commercials, credits and special effects. In 1968, she was hired on as background supervisor for George Dunning's Yellow Submarine.
