Aion was founded in Cornwall in 1999 — when most UK businesses were still asking whether they needed a website at all. Since then we’ve built everything from artists’ portfolio sites to complex multi-user booking platforms handling thousands of annual transactions.
We’re a small, senior team. Every project is led by the same people who scoped it, designed it, and built it. You won’t be passed to a junior developer after sign-off, and you won’t be dealing with an account manager who has to relay your questions to a developer you’ve never met. You get a direct line to the people doing the work.
Our clients range from sole traders and artists to established regional and national businesses — but what they have in common is that off-the-shelf tools stopped working for them. They needed a booking system that matched their exact process, a database that spoke to their existing software, or a customer-facing application that their competitors couldn’t replicate with a SaaS subscription.
We’re based in West Cornwall, which means our costs aren’t inflated by London office overheads — but our experience and output are comparable to any agency in the country. We work with clients across the UK and can meet in person or remotely, whichever suits you.

Everything above describes how we work with our own clients — direct, no account managers, no handoffs. There’s a second, quieter relationship running alongside that, which we’re equally proud of: for over two decades, we’ve been the dedicated technical delivery partner for a specialist UK digital agency, building and maintaining the full-stack systems behind their own client work — including projects for international manufacturers and businesses across the UK and abroad.
In that relationship, the agency owns the design, the branding and the client relationship. We own everything underneath: architecture, full-stack development, hosting, deployment and ongoing maintenance. Our name doesn’t appear on the finished work — that’s the arrangement, not an oversight.
